Gli schermi dei device sono i nostri specchi, riflettono la nostra immagine, amplificandola esponenzialmente.
I social ci espongono ad un continuo, silenzioso confronto con noi stessi. Un confronto viziato dalla sovraesposizione a modelli inarrivabili.
Ogni selfie ci allontana, aumenta il divario tra ciò che siamo e la nostra immagine, mai all’altezza delle aspettative. Specchiarci nello schermo dei device, rifletterci negli altri, è sempre più spesso fonte di disagio, insoddisfazione, ansia.
Stati d’animo che, come una corrente silenziosa, nel continuo fluire dei post, frammentano e diluiscono la nostra identità in un flusso che fagocita il passato, rendendo sempre più difficile riconoscerci.

Screens are our mirrors, they reflect our image, amplifying it exponentially.
Social media exposes us to a continuous, silent comparison with ourselves. A comparison spoiled by overexposure to unattainable models.
Every selfie distances us, widens the gap between who we are and our image, which never lives up to expectations.
Mirroring ourselves in the screen of devices, reflecting ourselves in others, is increasingly a source of discomfort, dissatisfaction and anxiety.
A silent, digital river streaming that erodes, fragment and dilute our identity in a flow that engulfs the past, making it increasingly difficult to recognize ourselves.

l corpo è innocente (e l’innocenza è nuda).
Il corpo si scopre nudo in seguito ad un atto di disobbedienza ed immediatamente si vergogna.
Si copre.
La censura è strettamente legata al concetto di peccato, è figlia di un giudizio, connota in chiave negativa il corpo stesso.
Oscurando parti del corpo, attira l’attenzione su di esse.
Celandole allo sguardo, genera curiosità, amplifica il desiderio, riduce il soggetto ad oggetto.
Con questo progetto ho voluto amplificare il meccanismo della censura, e l’ho fatto rendendo esplicito l’atto censorio, spostando il “punctum” dell’immagine al di fuori della stessa;
l’ho fatto riproponendo altrove ciò che era stato celato od ignorato dalla censura che, spesso affidandosi al “comune senso del pudore”, sbaglia bersaglio, colpendo l’Arte.
The body is innocent.
Following an act of disobedience the body discover itself naked and it is immediately ashamed.
It covers itself.
Censorship is closely linked to the concept of sin, it is the daughter of a judgment, it connotes the body itself in a negative key.
By obscuring parts of the body, it actually draws attention to them.
Hiding the body from the eye, generates curiosity, amplifies desire, reduces the subject to an object of possession.
With this project I wanted to amplify the mechanism of censorship.
I did this by making the censorship explicit, by moving the “punctum” of the image outside of it, proposing elsewhere what had been hidden or ignored by the censorship which often, relying on the “common sense of decency”, gets the wrong target, hitting the Art.
