L’opera fa parte di un progetto dal titolo “Eternal gestures” che esplora la persistenza dei gesti umani nel tempo, ispirato alle opere di Giotto e ai gesti da lui ritratti, poiché questi hanno saputo attraversare i secoli, continuando a riflettere emozioni universali.
Il gesto del “Compianto”, inserito in origine all’interno della Deposizione, decontestualizzato dalla espressione narrativa/religiosa, crea un ponte temporale fra il passato e la sensibilità contemporanea: ora come allora attoniti e impotenti.
Il compianto, come il porgere, il ricevere, le occupazioni quotidiane, l’attesa sono tutti atti che conducono ad uno spazio umano condiviso, fatto di tenebra, luce e spettri.

This work, part of a project entitled “Eternal gestures,” explores the persistence of human gestures over time, inspired by the works of Giotto and by the gestures he depicted, which have spanned the centuries and continue to express universal emotions.
The gesture of “Lamentation,” originally in a Deposition, decontextualized from narrative/religious expression, creates a temporal bridge between the past and modern sensitivity: now as then, astonished and powerless.
Lamenting, daily occupations, offering, receiving, expecting, are all actions that lead to a shared human space, made of light, darkness, and spirits.

L’opera fa parte di un progetto dal titolo “Eternal gestures” che esplora la persistenza dei gesti umani nel tempo, ispirato alle opere di Giotto e ai gesti da lui ritratti, poiché questi hanno saputo attraversare i secoli, continuando a riflettere emozioni universali.
Il gesto de la “Cura” è originariamente inserito all’interno di una Natività e rappresenta una occupazione quotidiana.
Le occupazioni quotidiane, come il compianto, il porgere, il ricevere, l’attesa sono tutti atti che conducono ad uno spazio umano condiviso, fatto di tenebra, luce e spettri.
